  • BJ Penn is an example of how MMA has progressed in only 5 or so years. He is a great technical fighter but I think his strength and genetic potential left him out matched against some of the modern super athletes like GSP.

  • For all the people here thinking that their the same size as bj and can lift heavier, good for you!....but I guarantee after 25 minutes in an octagon you wouldn't be able to lift more than him and that's the difference between beach muscles and a conditioned athlete.

  • @meetchvb how is it bodybuilding ? mma requires pushing (chest/triceps) and pulling (biceps/back) and alot of punching (shoulders) and alot of twisting (core)
