  • That to me is the true meaning of Thanksgiving. Selfless acts of generosity that happen everyday and go unnoticed most of the time that can be acknowledged during this holiday. We should let our children forget that the selfless act of the Natives toward strangers helped them survive a harsh environment in a new land.

    Yes, there is a lot of controversy and animosity over what happened afterward back then but I believe we should focus on the good during this American holiday. Thanks again.

    Thank you for your video post on this topic. I agree with most of what you say. Thanksgiving should be a time for reflection on all the blessings that we and our families have received and the generosities of our friends, family and communities. However, I disagree with your focus on just Pilgrims, or "early ancestors" as you put it. I think we should remember that it was the generosity of the the Native Americans that the Pilgrims were most thankful for....
