I thought the creed was
1) Stay your blade from that of the innocent,
2) Hide in the shadows, and strike your opponent with the utmost discretion,
3) Do not compromise the brotherhood..

The philosophy "Nothing is true, but everything is permitted." was not part of the creed, it was only taught to the assassins who reached the 7th degree in the Nizari Ismailis. There were 9 degrees in total.

This game is based on the Nizari Isma'ilis, also known as the Assassins. They are a heretical Shiite Islamic group based in Syria and Persia. The quote "Nothing is true, everything is permitted.", is quoted from Hasan-i-Sabbah, one of the original assassin masters. With their one belief that they are the only true religion in the world, because they accept the possibility they might be wrong, in order to truly understand religion, you must question it. Today, they follow the Aga Khan.

This game was truly awesome, especially since it was based on a true historical timing.
