Early rough cut of a 7-minute science fiction movie created using the PC game "The Movies" from Lionhead Studios and Activision. Sorry, the sound goes out of sync as the movie continues, a frequent problem with this PC game which both the producers of the game and the players are trying to fix.

In "Princess of the Universe", a brave space captain and his crew are escorting a beautiful princess back to her homeworld, but an archnemesis attacks. The captain is captured, but the princess saves the day. Fun throwback to classic space opera.

  • Multiple Costumes and Extras (1) -

More time-consuming, but simple once you know how. In Movie-Making Mode, in any scene featuring your Star's character, drag your Star over to the clothes-hanger icon on the right to access the Makeover screen for that scene. Dress up your Star in the desired costume, hairstyle and makeup, then save it as a Custom Costume before you exit. This method is ideal if you want your Star's character to appear in more than one costume during your movie.

  • Multiple Costumes and Extras (2) -

You'll need to do the same thing for each scene of your movie, and apply your Custom Costume(s) to your Star(s) in every scene, using the Makeover screen.

You also need to use this method to dress your Extras in Custom Costumes, so that their costumes don't keep switching between scenes.

Once you're done, all your actors' characters should stay in the desired Custom Costumes for the whole movie.

Next post - removing unneeded extras.

  • Too Many Extras? -

While working on scenes in Movie-Making Mode, scroll through your actor types in the top left corner, until you reach the selection menu for Leading Actor/First and Second Supporting Stars/Extras. Drag the mannequin icon onto your unneeded extra, and he either becomes a mannequin or vanishes, depending on your preference selections on the right (mannequins can be turned off or on as desired). Don't worry, mannequins will not appear in your final movie.

    Hope this helps.

  • How do you keep the same outfits? for me every time i make a part of the movie it has other outfits. plz help BTW. sry for my english and great video

  • Single Costumes -

In the setup screen of Movie-Making Mode (three Stars, title, genre, etc.), drag your Star's icon over to the clothes-hanger to access the Makeover screen for the movie. Dress up your Star in the desired costume, hairstyle and makeup, then click the chechmark to exit when you're done. For each scene, your Star should now automatically appear in the desired costume, hair and makeup.

  • no...its a game called The Movies

  • This is sims and a girl in a braw

  • If you want to watch more movies made with this game, Please check out my channel.

  • Really cool film. I enjoyed it. I have made a few but have not yet uploaded any. I made a James Bond SCFI film. Its okay.

  • Hehe...I used to have The Sims 2 to make movies. It sucked so much. No effects, no good props, bad camera movement and many more.

When I got The Movies, I was very much impressed. No offense, I hate it how people make The Sims 2 movies...They're so cheesy. Really, if they like making movies then they should buy this game.

I also hate how they're popular on Youtube (really, like hundreds of thousand of views and they're highly rated). The Movies on Youtube are not popular at all.
