Stan Greening's dance band as a Regal label 'house band'. A wonderful piece of 1920's nostalgia. My first 78 version of this was by the Savoy Orpheans with a great Raymond Newton vocal, it had a crack down the centre, I acquired it like that so not to blame!. It was a good version but then this came along shortly afterwards in a 25 pence box , ahh! there is nostalgia too!.

Can't help thinking this is Nat Star.Greening was well known for having his records played straight.He discouraged solos.The name was used by both for recording purposes

Wonderful sound in that radio-gram of yours. Really seems to bring out the full frequency of the 78´s. Did you have to restore it at all, or did you just plug it in?

I'm more familiar with Bert Ralton's version with his "incidental singing". Like Ralton's, this is brisk & breezy arrangement.

With lighting my first fire this evening for some months, I consider this a very appropiate tune to post. Thank you for doing so.
