  • Both your horses are gorgeous!

Is Xena from the track, or did you have her since she was a puppy? It's awesome that you can let her run loose. My best friend has two greyhounds that you can't let loose because they wouldn't come back!

  • Thank you!

Xena came from a breeding farm in Iowa that was closed down due to poor conditions. She never raced and was never bred. She was 2 when I adopted her from Team Greyhound of Ohio. In this video, she is in my fenced in back yard. The horses and the dogs share a fence line. There are very few greyhounds that can be let off leash in an unfenced area. Xena is not one of those few!!

  • that spotted dog looks faster than the horses

  • the spotted dog is a greyhound, so yes, she is probably faster than the horses!

  • Now that is adorable! Do you ever let them onto the field with the horse so they can run free together?

  • Thank you! No, they never run free together. That would just be asking for trouble. One playful kick would kill the dogs.

  • lol cute. I should try doing that with my greyhound on one side of the fence and my 16h Thoroughbred on the other side.

  • aww that was so cute!!!

  • Lol cute =) yeah them being in the same field would be trouble lol. My shepherd decided to get to close to my horse one day and got a kick in the face, she was lucky though only got a swollen cheek lol.

  • Yeah, it's really a toss up! Some dogs know to watch out for those kicks and some don't, but it warms the heart to sings thing like that.
