With new changes that take place. some drivers may find themselves in a situation where they can not make the same amount of money over the road as they used to. Some companies will be doing computerized logs and if Washington doesn't wake up all trucking companies will end up using computerized logging. (If I am understanding things right.)

This will be a serious problem.

Companies will lose drivers and then go out of business.

Soon companies will realize that they need to pay drivers more.
Then they will charge shippers and receivers more.
Then manufacturers will charge the public more.

What congress should be doing is forcing trucking companies and manufacturers to work out their differences on delay time and compensation better and then force trucking companies to compensate the driver properly.

This will help to eliminate the unnecessary wasted time at shippers and receivers which is the root of the problem.

  • Why or how will you loose miles at the end of the week? Is it that you think the company will not be honest of the actual milage?

  • @chrisolava112066 Because the software that they use to give mileage for trips automatically take off miles at each end of the trip. (Unless the company pays hub miles)

For instance, say you run Atlanta to St. Louis. Atlanta may be 30 miles across and so is Saint Louis ( i am just guessing, you get the point) If you leave from the east side of Atlanta and go to the West side of St Louis, that is a good 40 miles or so taken off of your trip.

  • Eh, how can you stay fit? Can you leave your truck to run or anything?

  • @kurumako yes, you can. Push ups, sit ups, running, aerobics, dancing to the radio in your cab even. It's ways to get exercise man. You don't have to have a gym.

  • The Equipment that he's opreating is an automatic .

  • @exel234 yep
