Actually..yes they can set off smoke alarms. But as far as i can figure they have to be an old type of smoke alarm or something. I moved into a new house with old alarms and had heaps of trouble..bought new alarms..problem solved!! :D

Whoever made the comment about the smoke alarm is stupid. Fog doesnt set off smoke alarms. SMOKE DOES.
I ran a fog machine inside my house for an hour and the smoke alarm never went off
