I watched a video today of a canadian solider wishing well to his husband...too bad you can't do that in the US without getting discharged

Yesterday at my school, a friend of mine asked me to read over her article for the school newspaper--she said it was about DADT.
I was eager to see what she had written until I found out that it was in support of the policy, and that she was obviously homophobic, even though she is a very nice girl otherwise.
The worst part is that she didn't even seem to realize that her article could be hurtful. She acted like I would be proud of her and agree.

@KirilleXXI well, it could've been longer, a year isn't so bad, the important thing is, he stuck to his promise and got it done

@swedishboy112 shut up, how about you think of that person as a human being as opposed to being a *queer*, i swear, people like you and your ignorance, smh

i was just wondering how you guys feel about DADT being repealed by president obama and his administration and will you be doing a video on the subject
I believe that one day DADT would be repealed (hope Obama will keep his promise to do it very soon). But what bothers me: what's gonna happen to all those gay soldiers (over 13'000 of them) who were discharged for being gay? Will they ever be able to reinstate (if they want to)? Will they ever receive their benefits back (they deserve them as much as any other soldier)?
Also, Jay, you mentioned you served in Iraq. Now that you live an open life, what's your status? Were you discharged as gay?

The Repeal of DADT won't stand. It will create too many problems and it's already starting to happen. American Legion and VFW is already petitioning to repeal the new corrupted repeal. The survey put out by the skirts and hollywood officers has already been proven tainted. 63 % of military families are against the repeal. The survey was a joke put out by the admin. 54 % of participants were coast guard and the rest were mostly support units and admin types. DADT will stand
