Hi there.
I changed the 883 for a 1200 about a year later and then 6 months after that I replaced the 1200 with a 1584 FXDL Low Rider which I still have. The handling of all 3 Harleys is a world away from a Bandit. I also have a Honda CBF1000 and they are like chalk and cheese. The point is they are 2 different animals. The Harley is for taking easy and relaxing (whilst looking cool...naturally!) and the sports bikes are for burning it up a bit. Either way your bound to have fun. Cheers, Steve.

Sportsers are great there is no doubt about it. I now have a 2008 Dyna Low Rider which I use every day to go to work (whatever the weather) and I love it....but I will always have a soft spot for my first 883 Sportster!

Nice . I crashed mine 1 month ago... not much happened to it (it landed on me) I broke 5 ribs. cant wait to get back on it in a couple of months.... Keep the shiny side up!

Sorry to hear of your mishap. Not sure of the trade-off benefits between 5 broken ribs over minimal damage to your Sporty, but glad it was no worse for either of you!
Safe riding, Steve.
