Make Money with Contextual Targeted Advertising by Yorgo Nestoridis -
January 21, 2009
Do you know, how to use your computer, your time and your money to earn online?
There are many recipes out there, promoted with more or less success. Selling successfully a success recipe seems to be a smart formula. How about the credibility of those recipes and promoters?
If a formula wants to be good, it needs to be proven. Some of the proven formulas concern affiliate marketing or ecommerce.
There is however a common denominator to all these formulas: they only work if you can reach the right people, people who are looking for what you have on offer. The process of reaching out for your target audience is marketing and marketing is part of communication.
Marketing in this sense is nothing else than the activities which aim to expose your target to what you have on offer, or: Marketing is about Traffic and Traffic is about visitors to your website. The more interested visitors your site attracts the higher your chances for success, for sales, for making money online.
Marketing is much more about the how than the what. It's less important what we present to our target than how we present it. The HOW we present it implies also the WHERE we present our offer to our target.
This sounds may be complicated for a simple issue, but it's far from being all that easy to understand and to implement if we judge from visible marketing efforts online.
Marketing is successful if you succeed in attracting loads of interested visitors to your site at a time when these visitors are willing to respond to your offer.
Or: it's the right ad at the right place at the right time.
Contextual advertising has become the term in fashion for designing the right ad at the right place. Meaning: if your website talks about fishing, attracting thus people interested in fishing related topics and products, then your advertising should be contextual and promote articles in which the target readers are interested.
The other way around: if you want to sell goods or services to people interested in fishing: advertise in a fishing related context: it's that context (or site content) that attracts the readers, not the ad. The ad is what we deliver alongside the content with the goal to attract the attention of the visitor. If we are lucky, a sale will result.
I say: if we are lucky!
Why? because as I said before, the visitor is attracted by the site content, not by the ad. The problem is the purpose of the visit. If you visit a page to get more information about a topic, it does not mean that you want to buy anything... may be you collect info to sell better context related products.
So, the purpose of the visit is important and so is the timing: if you attract visitors who have the urgent need or desire to acquire your product or service right when they visit your page, then you you have the highest chance to sell.
Finally there is a financial aspect to the problem: your marketing cost must be reasonable and fit into your profitability calculation.
Understanding Contextual Marketing and Contextual Targeting is one of the Goals of the Ycademy January Seminar which takes place this week-end.
We will show how YORGOO Blaster and other Communication Tools and Strategies respond to the needs of Targeted Contextual Marketing and how to transform your time, work and know-how into cash online. Participants will also learn to replicate and multiply success using a simple strategy: The YORGOO Blaster Strategy.
The seminar is designed for beginners and advanced marketers, whereas on Sunday, on our second online Seminar day we will confront participants with the most advanced technologies to deliver messages (to communicate) with defined targets.
The environment we are focusing on are Search Engines, namely Google.
As the Seminar has been sold out within 12 hours, we are adding herewith 3 more seats for 3 additional participants. We have to restrict the number of participants due to the preparatory work needed to provide each participant with the necessary course materials, namely with a formula 1 type website from Semiomantics: these sites need to be set-up by the Seminar Admin beforehand as we don't want to lose time loading and installing software.
