"Shaykh Uthaymeen & the boy"

Often we hear stories of our scholars or shaykhs which show just how simple and blessed their character was. This was something actually recorded, which we can all hear (first-hand) ourselves. This isnt really a reminder per se, but learning from the character of someone like this serves just the purpose..

Shaykh Uthaymeen was a prominent scholar of Islam, he passed away in 2001*. Just watch the video of his funeral and you will know what impact he left in the lives of others...

subhanAllaah. this is the difference between a person of knowledge and a "lay-person". As Allaah says in Quraan

“Say: ‘Are those who know equal to those who know not?’ It is only men of understanding who will remember (i.e. get a lesson from Allâh’s Signs and Verses)”

[al-Zumar 39:9]

The rhetorical question Allaah poses in the Quraan is of course the truth. Shaykh Uthaimeen's (rahimahullah) responses in this video are just further evidence if any was needed. SubhanAllaah
