This song came from the same sessions that Jeff Fenholt had been involved in, but on this track, Lita Ford handles the vocal duties. Lita Ford was engaged to Tony Iommi at this time, hence the convenience of this collaberation. Plus, Iommi was using the members of her band for what was to be his first solo project.

This song was supposed to go on a Lita Ford album, but it was shelved and never released.

  • awesome track i have this one on the star of india cd but its a sped up version

  • I had copies of both 'sixth star' and 'star of india' for awhile. I compared them. Most of the tracks on both are the same, but one has the tracks playing a hair to slow, and the other has them playing way too fast. I kept the ones that sounded best, being they are pretty much identical anyway, except one of the disks has "dark side of love" and the other doesn't. This was posted though before I had copies of both. I can't remember which one I kept.

  • This is slower version. I have 7th star fenholt sessions and sounds quite nice with the speed.

  • It's actually the same take. One of the boots just runs fast. This is the correct speed, and you can't tell so much from this song, but other songs on the same boot are WAY too fast.

  • Hmmm. You're right. The're faster but not so much. But this version you upped is too slow. Lita sounds like a man:)

  • Maybe a hair slow, but certainly not much.

And it doesn't sound like a man, it sounds exactly like Lita Ford, no different than any of her other videos, anyway.

  • I'll agree that it's a poor recording, but I always thought Lita's music was bluesy, especially since she's an Etta James fan. other than that I like their version of this song. They're no B.B.King, but then again no one can aspire to achieve that quality of musicianship.

  • What a gem this is. Do you have any more Tony Iommi and Lita? Great music.

  • superb bass line, great vocals LITA FORD!!!, drums, and the riff master...what else do you need?

  • So who's playing bass on this? Dave Spitz?

  • this kinda sucks but it's ok cause tony iommi did it

  • This is a cool version of B.B. King's song. Its their own version of it and they pulled it off.

  • @IMaiden23 I totally agree, Lita sounds different on this song yet it still kicks ass

  • The first solo sounds to me like it was played by Lita Ford, especially since it has whammy bar use. The second solo is Iommi. Iommi's work on "Warning" from the first album is some of the best pure blues ever. If anyone thinks Iommi can't play just listen to the ending solo from "Lonely is the Word" from "Heaven and Hell". If you can direct me to a better solo please do.

  • her voice reminds me of Ronnies

  • @Rafcyk thats why they call it jam session.......

  • @b24warbaby you're sayin Tony iommi ain't a pro??? Man ...who are you ? oO

  • Horrible. It is best to leave classics to the pros.
