Jiu Jitsu guys and submission grapplers have been calling their grappling matches, "fights" attempting to equate a submission match with a cage fight, which it is not!

I'm a Jiu-Jitsu guy and i have never tried to pass myself off as a cage fighter. I have a very good job and i'm completely content with saying I'm a JJ prcticioner ONLY. In fact I have a very good friend and he has never uttered the words "I'm a cage fighter" even after he's been in the cage to fight.

Good for You, and therefore I am NOT talking about you. Really, my favorite thing is freestyle submission; that is what is the most fun and interesting to me. Jiu Jitsu is awesome and effective, which is why all Jiu Jitsu practitioners should be proud of their sport, and like yourself, claim it for what it is and do so proudly

I mean first of all we get that in jiujitsu tournaments, and then you have proof all over the TUF series there is always someone "Well I just wanted to go back to my roots" Well you made the fight boring as well...

Coach Bear is legit. Come by and roll with him. I guarantee he will tap all you keyboard warriors. He isn't saying anything negative about jiu-jitsu/submission grappling. It's part of his system as well.

My MMA coach says that you suck, all you coaches suck, and of course all your students suck. He even said one of your guys came in to our academy and he claimed to be training with you for years and we beat the crap out of him. CLOSE YOUR GYM NOW AND STOP RIPPING PEOPLE OFF

as well as keeping them away from trainers that just through people in after 2 or 3 months...(seen it happen!) promters that do similiar things....all that shit is bad for the fighters. This guy is making sense. TOTAL sense.

He says the true i.e: that Wrestling, Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing are all excellent systems in themselves but if you train for a cage fight like you train for a kickboxing match or a wrestling match then thats wrong. His point I think is to mix the styles and train them for the CAGE fight ..not for the wrestling match etc etc. Guys give him a break here. He also talks about making sure people have trained for a long time and are sure in their minds they want a cage fight before letting them

The UFC was developed to prove how Jiu Jitsu was "superior" to other traditional martial arts. Its been many years since the days when MMA was guys from totally seperate systems trying to prove their system is the best in the cage, Since those days most fighters have realised that for the majority just striking or just grappling isnt enough to make it in the cage. Hes actually bigging up the system you guys belong to by saying its essential knowledge for the sport.
