The New iPhone 5 by Apple
The new iPhone 5 was introduced yesterday, September 12, 2012 and scheduled to be released on Friday, September 21st. The iPhone 5 is a touchscreen-based smartphone developed by Apple Inc. It is the sixth series in the generation of iPhones. It will be priced similar to the iPhone 4s, which means much lower prices for the 4s until the stock runs out.
The benefits and features are:
-- Bigger screen -- the screen height is 4 inches vs. 3.5 for the 4s. However the width is the same.
-- New docking port -- the docking port has a smaller connector and it doesn't care which way you plug in the port.
-- 20% Lighter than the iPhone4s
-- 18% Thinner than the iPhone 4s -- Apple claims it's the thinnest smartphone in the world.
-- Faster processor -- Apple claims its 2 times faster
-- It's the first iPhone that supports 4G LTE so cellular based communications is faster.
-- Has a screen with a prospect ratio of nearly 16:9
-- It will be rolled out at Verizon, Sprint and AT&T, unfortunately, NOT T-Mobile.
-- The camera is upgraded to HD.
-- Has 3 mics instead of 2.
-- Comes with a noise cancelling earpiece.
-- Have with metal casing; and
-- Improved battery life.
If you plan on buying the phone, there will be plan changes. If you go into the Apple store, they will make the plan changes for you. If you have an iPhone 4s, the best thing is not to make a move until you can get upgrading pricing. The phones should be available until mid to late October, so if will make a great gift for the holidays.
