An appeal to ask people to quote their favourite lines from a movie, with some of mine to start you thinking.

'sorry about the poor quality of some of the clips. I made this in a hurry, and I didn't bother to find better copies of some of the films.

  • I forgot one I really like. From Star Wars Episode 4, when Han Solo says "What a remarkable smell you've discovered!"

  • I love most of these lines -- the one from Animal House especially -- but why use The Fountain for a line that makes you cry? Surely you could have found something better.

  • It was the best example of what I had here. And, actually, it's pretty hard to make me cry.

  • Spiderman: Great power has great responsibility.

  • That line came first from the comic book, but it's really good. "With great power comes great responsibility." Thanks.

  • From Batman:

    "This town needs an enema."

  • Good one.

  • John Candy has a great line in "Canadian Bacon" that goes something like this: "There's a time to think and a time to act, and this is no time to think."

    Terrific video, btw.

  • "my friends, you bow to no one."

    -lotr, return of the king.

pretty much every quote from wet hot american summer.

  • From Rambo 3: "Fuck 'em!"

  • Well made video. I've got many favourites, but here's one from Blazing Saddles:

Bart: I better go check out this Mongo character.

Jim: [seeing Bart reach to get his gun] Oh no, don't do that. If you shoot him, you'll just make him mad.

  • V For Vendetta-

V: "The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous."
