People need to hush if they don't know what they're talking about. British wore red except for riflemen, artillery and some hussar regiments. Dutch wore blue and their jaegers wore green. Prussians also wore blue but with different uniforms and their jaegers also wore green. Nassau all wore green, French wore blue except for regiments like the Empress Dragoons and the Hussards.

@Freez57fr I am aware Prussia helped to fight Napoleon during the battle of waterloo but it was the British Army that went toe to toe with Napoleon.
Prussia was fighting a detachment of french troops and joined the fight as the French retreated and where regrouping and having the Prussan Army arrive caused the rest of them to run. Also if I remember correctly there where 6-7 colalitons which everybody got beaten except Britain who fought for the entire war.
Thats why its the Brits who won.

@Freez57fr Anglo Dutch uniform was also red dumbass the only exception being 95th rifles regiment who wore green and were issued with rifles instead of muskets
As for the Prussians they arrived at the end of the day when napolean sent his old guard to take on the British and troops from the Netherlands and attempt to get them finished before the prussians clashed with him... so really the prussians were not at waterloo but fought a battle before it and lost

@Freez57fr there are 2 reasons why that comment is retarded firstly Prussians are gremans secondly dutch wore brit uniforms.
also the prussians came at the closing stage and werent in the main battle as long as most.
-
@Freez57fr Many of the Germans and Dutch would also have been wearing red, hence, you only seem to see redcoats. The Prussians had been driven back by the French and wern't in the battle early on.
And it was mostly done by the British anyway, so I don't see your problem...

@Hypoduo Haha, :)

You speak English.

Where are the Prussians, Dutch, Germans???
Oh wait the English Propaganda try to make believe for 200 years that this battle has been won by the English...
I like how we can see only redcoats in all the British/ango-saxon documentaries about Waterloo.

Or maybe it was something to do with the fact it was an English guy making it, attached to an English unit who were there... and so whilst filming the battle would have been surrounded by English re-enactors. I can -assure- you the Prussians, Dutch and so on were well and truly represented on the day, and lastly this ISNT a documentary, just my experiences of the event from where I was. Would you like to shut up?

What was the main unit shown in the video? Would it be the 68th DLI by any chance? Great video either way, specially loved the French trying to force the wall. Also how did you film it? Was it a Shako cam? Or just regular video cam corder?

@Yippidiyippida Thanks for the kind comments. The main unit was the one I was with - 2nd Queens Regiment of Foot, although I got a load of regiments in there so you probably saw a good few. The camera was a barely conealed video cam corder, which took a bash or two throughout the event!
