@trslickpie you are totally right. I'm learning Sanbon sets 1 through 4 and they require a great deal of accuracy, timing, and speed. Wado is really a bad ass martial art. No fluffy moves. almost all Sanbon ends up with a junzuki to the floating ribs or else an empi to face. ouch!

It's a lot of work to get the correct form down. . working then without effort will make them look lazy.
-
@trslickpie Really? They look very very simple...no biggie. What do they require so much practice & effort?
-
@trslickpie What? Hard? These are not hard, and thats because these must work without effort. If these would be hard, they would be useless.

A message for the ones who are calling this Shotokan and gay... First of all... Read the freaking title! This is Wado-Ryu ! Not Shotokan, and also it's a style of speed and avoiding.

To some extent I have to concur.

yes it was only the basics and thats all

um.... shotokan was the first karate introduced to Japan from Okinawa. Alot of Japanese Karate COMES from shotokan.
Kihon Kumite are very hard. They look really simple, but when you do them they take a lot more practice and effort than you'd think.

He is amazing. These look so simple, but anyone who knows them knows these are soo demanding.
