Typing along a letter:

1. Open a new document (default page setup)

2. Select Type Tool

3. Create a Text Box

4. Type one letter (Large font size recommended)

5. Select Selection Tool

6. Select Text Box (if not already selected)

7. Type→Create Outlines

8. Object→Paths→Release Compound Path (Shortcut: Alt+Shift+Ctrl+8)

9. If needed, fill holes in letter with paper swatch

10. Select Type on a Path Tool (Shortcut: Shift+T)

11. Click anywhere on the outline of the letter

12. Type



Typing along an Ellipse:

1. Open a new document (default page setup)

2. Select Ellipse Tool (Shortcut: L)

3. Click anywhere on document to select dimensions, or
Click and drag

4. Select Type on a Path Tool

5. Click anywhere on the outline of the circle

6. Type
