Yes, the bible constantly shows Jesus sitting and having meals with people the religious authorities considered "sinners" (a name for anybody who was different in religion and manners) Against the will of the temple authorities, he would heal the sick and poor people, without asking for money in return. If any Republicans are here: YES, HE WOULD HEAL THE SICK FOR FREE. :D hint, hint

@taffydavenport1 Sorry about being unclear. While I believe in the teachings of Jesus, there are many reasons people do not believe in or follow Jesus. These include religious reasons, i.e. Jews are still waiting for the true messiah, Muslims think that God could not manifest himself in a corruptible and flawed human body, etc. Also, there are the unfortunate conflicts that exist in the bible itself with the teachings of Jesus, e.g. see Leviticus 20:9-27 and various in the old testament

Matthew 28:12
When the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money, telling them, "You are to say, 'His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.' If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble." So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day.
