this is a clip inspired by the work of california sculptor charles dixon, from a photograph dutch photo journalist yfke rauwerda took at his studio there in compton, california a few weeks ago. he and arts innovator john outterbridge are two of the most conceptual artist i've experienced along with the likes of david hammonds and melvino garetti. all the creative elements are like the surgons tools in the phonetic engineering process...

i once read an artical by metaphysical orator will alexander were he discribed the area in los angeles where we all met each other in a parallel sense to the surrealist schools of paris in the 20's i think it is ...when dali and picaso and some american artist reconfigured the canvas of consciousness drapped over the open skull of evolution...well he didn't quite say it like that but i got his reference. you really must make an effort to see the work of john outterbridge and charles dixon...they represent thru the fine arts the same thing that ornette coleman and eric dolphy or snoop doggg and dr.dre do concerning the stealthed mothership hovering over south central l.a....ask "too short" how he got so tall...

the music track is from a performance recorded live at the sugar factory in amsterdam with multimedia performing artist farahday on flutes and special effects, and myself in various idioms...

the poem calls itself "mythecka's muse" right now. it is from a series of things i wrote during a period when i lived in a very small room in the bellfree on the herengracht in amsterdam. it was there i came up with this concept of phonetic engineering...this is another in the phonetic engineering series...an open canvas work in progress...
