@halo2snipers You could also do a 4R75W swap(already standard on 06+ Crown Vics), which is the slightly stronger version of the 4R70W that comes on these cars, but a rebuilt version of either will be about the same in terms of durability so you if anything, you should just rebuild the 4R70W using the J-Mod and other things Jerry describes in his 4R70W rebuild manual

i have a 1997 thunderbird lx v6 with the 4r70w does anyone know where i can find the gaskets or the part number for them? also did you remove the bottom springs or leave them in and which would you reccomend?

I have a 99 crown Vic with the 3:55 gears. What does yours have in it? And did the jmod make a big diff? I will be doing mine soon what should I expect? Harder shifts? My car shift pretty good now but I'm hoping this just adds to it.

When you did the Jmod, did you take the accumulator springs out or leave them in?

what is the best transmission to put in a crown vic other than the revised stock one?

@halo2snipers Sorry m,an, For automatics this is about the best one, You can install a 5 speed swap. but the transmissions are kinda weak. So if you have alot of power, Better stick with an automatic.
