Shelter Dog Tivis' One Year Anniversary

Tivi came to our shelter in June of 2008. He was found lying on the rocks after having been set on fire and left for dead. His recovery has been slow but steady. Even after having been through such a horific ordeal, Tivi has shown such grace and forgiveness, that everyone who meets him falls in love. It will break our hearts to see him go, but we know there is a better place out there for him, however, until that day comes, he will continue to be loved and cared for at the Humane Society of the Ochocos.

I've been following "Tivi's home"blog..also his FB page. He's got an amazing life now..they are a perfect match...you must be really proud to see Tivi now, he got adopted by his best friend..this is one of the best rescue stories I have ever seen! Thank you so much for sharing his life with us!t

This is a sad and cruel world epecially for animals. I can't even imagine what would happen without people like you that are constantly saving lives of these wonderful animals. GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!

I cried =[, Such a beautiful video and touching story, Such a bright outcome of a horrid tragedy, I'm very glad to see his recovery and forgiveness, His outcome is amazing to see his posture and amazing aura in his "tivoli takes a lickin and keeps on tickin".

a beautifull video and tribute to a brave and loving dog. Tivi is a special boy and I have fallen in love with his spirit. I know that a forever home is out there waiting for him, until then I will continue to help him and the wonderful folks at the shelter in anyway I can. You guys rock!

I have always tried to help in my own way, but, it was the story of this dog & the people of this No Kill shelter, most especially his caregivers, Suzi & Randa that kicked me into over drive on helping this breed. Tivoli, like other dogs that have suffered similar horrors, still loves people...I don't know that a person would. Most animal hospitals or shelters would have put Tivoli down the day he was found; not these good people. Pass the word on Tivoli & financially support this shelter.

Bless you for all that you've done for this incredibly sweet boy. He is so lucky that he ended up with you. Have they found the heartless monsters who did this to him? This just breaks my heart that a precious animal who is so incredibly loving could be made to endure such pain and fear. I hope he finds the forever home he deserves, but until then, he is clearly loved and adored.
