There is no such grammar rule in English. It is fine to split infinitives. You can not split infinitives in LATIN. Splitting infinitives is perfectly acceptable and grammatically correct in English.

Many people believe there is a rule about splitting infinitives, and this project was created to be a parody of people who blindly follow prescriptive grammar rules (notice the cop using a split infinitive at the end of the video as he busts the teacher). Some people (the cop) think a higher knowledge of grammar gives them the right to call others out; this is not the case. English is always evolving, and we should pay attention to how it is used, not just what the rules say.
