For the 10th anniversary of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, the museum's curators decided to display Anne Frank's complete original writings in one place. In the process, they discovered a talented but little-known writer, who transformed her loneliness into hope for the future. In this interview Sara J. Bloomfield, Director of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, explores the extraordinary precocity of Anne Frank and what her creativity and her loss means for people today.

  • Anne Frank was just one of millions of children that's life ended too soon because of NAZI. Her words speak of hope, not hatred.

She was denied Life and a future because of Warped Ideology.

  • .r.i.p Anne

  • RIP Anne

The world is much better becasue of you.

  • Hitler was evil!! More Jews from Holland were murdered per capita than any other Euro country! Thanks to Mieps and the others, Anne and her family and the others lived a few more months but her narrative gives us insight into what life was like for some Jews during that horrible time of geocide and tthe Shoah! It shows us there was evil but Mieps et al show us there were good people too, not enough but they were of the righteous!

  • Why is it that almost every video I find about Anne Frank, the comment section is always filled with such debate?? Why can't we just admire the fact that she was once here on this earth and left behind an incredible legacy??

  • @RebelRoseHunny Sadly no- Anne Frank spoke dutch. I know she had a pen pal in Iowa and wrote in english to him/her and in the Secret Annex she was learning english, but she wrote in Dutch in her diary, i'm pretty sure they had someone to do a voice over of her, and if she spoke english there would have been an accent, i'm actually curious to what she had sounded like.

  • :( she died

  • @garriford8 you're not a one. you're a zero. you sooner you get that, fuckface, the sooner we can get rid of you. YAY!
