I suggest you read some actual ww2 air-war historians like Edward Sims of "The Aces Talk" series who interviewed veterans of both sides. US Dpt Cmdr 352 John Meyers & his P51Ds had the most US experience vs Me262s in the air & he wrote the Me262 had such a combination of speed & agility it would always have the initiative & could eventually maneuver outside gun range to be in killing zone of P51. He wrote 8 P51s would match an Me262. ALL veteran interviews I've read corroborated by authors agree

First, yes the Americans are stupid in egineering. That's a fact, BUT the P51 was horrible dangerous these days comparative to the ME 109!

His capability of rising was better than the ME109, his speed were higher which was an advatage these days!

Why I know this?

- My Grandpa was a pilot of the ME 109 and later on he flew the ME 262 these days and what he told me about his experiances during the many airfights were astonishing!

@matamoros77 you won assisted by massive amount of superior weaponry that the US supplied, usually planes (like the P-39 Airocobra) owing to the fact that the Luftwaffe wiped the floor with the Russian airforce in Operation Barbossa (2000 russian planes lost to 35 german). also, almost everyone forgets about the fact that we singlehandedly won the war in the pacific theater. russian planes didn't fight american planes- but when they did in the korean war american planes got a 10:1 kill ratio

@matamoros77 Here some real good infomation and you can watch on youtube. " Tuskeegee African American Defeats Nazi Jets". The African American pilots shot down three ME-262'S in hour in his P-59. You should also know the USA and the Brits killed about ten million Germans in the strategic bombing of Germany. BTW if Russia had not received American Lend Lease it would have gone the tunes and all the Russian would be dead eecept Russain Slaves who learned how to lick German Boots.

All this stupid debate is disrespectful to the amazing machines and pilots who fought in this war. The ME-262 was an amazing, revolutionary aircraft, and the P-51 was a perfect "go-to" aircraft that fit its role amazingly well. This clip, however, is about a crazy gambit that actually worked against the odds, showing the pilot's ingenuity.
