  • @MissBabylon89 yah he was a criminal.....but he was brave

Do you actually believe that they found him hiding in a hole!?!?!? DO YOU THINK ITS A COINCIDENCE THAT THEY FOUND THE BRAVEST ARAB LEADERS HIDING IN A HOLE!!!! (Gaddafi & Saddam)

BELIEVE NON OF WHAT YOU HEAR & HALF OF WHAT YOU SEE..

no matter how bad they were no one I REPEAT NO ONE can deny that these leaders were brave unlike the other puppets arab leaders!

  • @VipericVampire

Because Mubarak was not pro west as well as pro israel? The same Mubarak who sold Egypts gas at 40% market value to israel and ensured its border closed from palestinian refugees?

That seems as pro west as it gets so why would the "West" want to remove him?

Every dictator being overthrowed during these revolutions is pro west and the proof of that is the wests hesitance to acknowledge or support the people at the start untill it becomes clear the Dictator has lost.

  • @MrAlittleparty

    Torture? Even know it's meaning?

  • @Hperman09 Women have almost as much freedom as men here, believe it or not. they can vote, they can drive, they can work freely, and in several fields they outnumber men. Just look at Kuwait University. the female students outnumber the boys almost 3:1.

as for the Emir's rulership of Kuwait, it's a constitutional monarchy, same as the UK. He has the final say on major decisions, but quite a lot is done through parliament.

  • @Hperman09 I'm not counting Israel in the count, to be completely honest. call me what you will, I don't consider that nation, or at least it's government [and the people who support it and instigate even more extreme behaviour] as deserving of a mention amidst the rest of the nations in the region. I don't think ANY country in modern history has managed to get away with so many atrocities without retribution. And all due to fucked up politics. :/

  • @RPGTKingpin well, actually Israel is ranked to be the most democratic nation in the middle east even though i don't like what they are doing in Gaza right now.

  • @RPGTKingpin Actually Kuwait is barely a democracy especially when it comes to the role of women (suppression) in their society. In fact, Kuwait is ruled by an Emir with an elected Parliament i believe decides what person should take the role of the country. It is a principality. it is ruled by a prince. Kuwait is bit better than Saudi Arabia but it's barely a democracy and ruled by an Emir. That's why in some aspects, many people felt that the middle east hates democracy a lot.

  • @Hperman09 Iraq is an exception, not a rule. take it's neighbour, Kuwait, for instance. It's a democratic country. In fact, it's the most democratic nation in the Middle East, bar none, and the most free too. And democracy works fine there.

  • @kingcriss He was no hero. But sadly, he was the only kind of person who could control Iraq. that area has had a bloody political history the likes of which is almost unrivalled in all of Arabia. Most of the non-dictatorial leaders that ruled there were simply murdered. It's been that way since for millennia. I wish I could say they had a bright future ahead of them, but that would be a lie. The only way Iraq will stabilise is when someone WORSE than Saddam takes control there.
