  • This is really cool because, when you see WW2 film footage, although there is a good deal of it in color, it is predominantly B&W. But, ALL the films is 60+ years old/filmed with antique cameras. Watching this footage here, filmed with modern video, THIS is how WW2 would have really looked to the soldiers who fought in it, as seen through their eyes. (not B&W) I don't know if that makes sense?

  • The first tank is an M5A1, the other three are M3A1's. M3's had a hexagonal turret. M5's had the same round turret as the M3's without the rear bustle of the M5A1. M3A3's have a different hull with a sloped front like the M5 series, but with angles sides also ( most M3A3's were exported as part of the lend-lease program ).

  • in My city,in Italy we have 4 shermans and 1 amphibiam sherman model(fishing in naples gulf) now in perfect condition.one of this is used in "la vita è bella",an italian film.
