They should of followed the game better. The only thing I liked about it is how the movie captures the monsters.

I like your reviews by the way. This film is basically a re-hash of the first game's story with some rather pointless changes in characters.
If they were going to make a Silent Hill movie that would have been a critical success they probably should have used the 2nd game as a template; it had a VERY well written story. If you ever get a chance to check that one out I highly recommend it.

I think this movie is........well Meh. The film isn't terrible but it could have been much better. The games all had a well written story and were full of symbolism. This movie made one of the same mistakes the later Silent Hill games made; they threw monsters in for the sheer sake of their popularity in the past.
Pyramid head was originally a creation of a main characters mind that existed to punish him because of his sins that he blocked from his mind. In the movie? Just some big monster.
