We all have the capacity to awaken ourselves naturally from within and don't need external influences. The other ways are to practice meditation and cultivating lovingkindness, compassion, joy, non-judgement and mindfulness within and in our daily living as it benefits all with the happy side effect of awakening and deep love. External influences can unbalance and swamp a delicate and beautiful experience of emerging energies unfolding with seeing a short term fireworks display. :)

i know EXACTLY what jim carey means. I felt the same... after YEARS of searching and doubting. Its not Eckhart Tolle as some kind of "got sent", its just the "new way of thinking", to realize the ego-driven live we all live and FEELING the TRUTH that is behind all of these words. Eckhart Tolle only focuses the knowledge of thousand of yours in spirituality, he does not create anything new. But he finds the proper WORDS so everybody can UNDERSTAND. THATS the difference.

growing up I had all these beliefs and dreams I felt great natural feelings where id just bounce through each day my energy was massive nothing could touch me I was the happiest human alive like jim displays but then it all escaped me about 10 years ago, ive been trying ever since to get that old me back it seems as if I shouldn't of been that happy like it was unnatural I was a superhero and now im just like the average human,was that my awakening??

When i experimented with shrooms i felt that the truth was alive; just like the world-- it constantly changes. But this doesn't happen randomly: The changing dynamics (materialistic/idealistic manifestations) come from a static root which is not observable through a time-space-consciousness. So i became very sensitive for the changing truth while on shrooms. However, i believe that the purest experience of truth is simply Zazen (Zen): no entertainment, no ascension, just the real thing; breath.

I believe that this 'feeling' is just the first stage of true awakening -- the first moment one truly gets a glimpse into oneself. And this stage will pass even though you might know that you ''can't lose it because you don't own anything'': I was 'in it' for over a month and suddenly the moment vanished. Im still as wise i guess, but i just feel normal again and to be honest, it felt incomparably more amazing than my current state. -So im still attached to plain feeling, thats why i suffer. ;)

you don't have to do shrooms to reach this. But it's an experience you really should have had in your life ( in my opinion ). You just see things on a hole other view and it's just a wonderfull experience :D But yeah do some research and see for yourself :)
