Caribbean - 3 versions - Mitchell Torok, Sonny James +

A song written by American Mitchell Torok. He first had a #1 country hit with it in 1953. In 1959 he rerecorded it and had a pop hit at #27. At the moment there are two posts on YouTube of his 1953 version.
1) here is his 1959 recording, sounding more like a pop-rock hit.
2) The Nashville Brass instrumental from about 1970.
3) a Sonny James country hit from 1978 on Columbia.

There is a CD compilation available of The Nashville Brass but not this song.
The Sonny James version is available.
Torok also rerecorded it later around the 1970s for S.J.Productions for the typical fake "original artists" LPs.
