Young dolphins at SeaWorld have taken bubble making to the extreme. Two young juveniles have been observed creating underwater bubbles with their blowhole, then using their rostrum to manipulate and play with the bubbles: spinning them, making them smaller and larger, swimming through them and popping them.
This is a phenomenon that has intrigued scientists watching dolphins in the wild and now is fascinating millions of guests at SeaWorld Orlando.

  • i love dolphins! and also when they blow bubble rings! they are SOOOO CUTE!GREAT VIDEO

  • Go to the cove/take action website to sign the the petition to stop the annual dolphin slaughter in Taiji, to be sent to the Japanese Ambassador. Dolphins are unique in that they are one of only 3 creatures including humans that are known to be self aware (they recognize themselves as a unique individual and that other dolphins are individuals) Dolphin meat is also toxic to humans and should never be eaten, but it is purposely mislabeled and sold to unwitting Japanese citizens.

  • @Deco1090 thats cool to know, do you remember scooter ? he is one of my favoriotes

  • I think all SeaWorld employees should be held in captivity and see how they like it!!

  • @roberto33097 There are a number of sizeable differences between the lifestyle of a wild dog and a wild dolphin. Dolphins will cover enormous distances in a day, more like a bird than a dog. Furthermore, they see with sonar. The roar of a crowd is believed by many to be incredibly uncomfortable and disorientating to them. Just because their mouth happens to be shaped like what humans consider to be a smile, doesn't mean they are always happy.

  • with everyone that does not think that dolphins and orcas, should not be in captivity, do you own dogs atall or do you not think that they should be wild, and have you never been to a zoo and seen hundreds of animals in captivity, these dolphins are clearly happy, and sea world is not keeping them in captivitry purely for everyones entertainment, they also really look after them, like you would with your dog.

  • What's with all the "Free Willy" unresolved guilt-complex radicals here?

Just enjoy the show. The dolphins are having a good time, and so can you.
