  • @VTS1337 In the 70s most people didn't emigrate from Britain. They all stood up for each other and protested, like the 60s were thhe time of freedom of speech and morals. Nowadays people from Britain are flocking to different countries because they are sick of the hellhole this great nation has become. This shows the selfishness and cowardness of people today. We could have left our country in shambles in WW2 but we didn't, we fought for our country. Shame people won't do that now.

  • 1:06 my god! look at how many people waited for the bus back then. I wonder what bus stops might look like in another 60-70 years - if they're still in service!

  • Someone's blind. Pause the clip at 1:04

  • Look, no blacks or Muslims... looks like heaven to me. =)

  • I remember losing my shoes paddling on tower beach,Im probably immune to every disease agoing.

  • @trippy119 You do have a valuable point, but everyone should be allowed to practice their own home religion

freely. The strain on health care is in the massive long term, and education should not be too much of a problem. I live 116 miles away from London (Norwich) and I am proud of our little city, (although it has places like the Larkman Estate and Heartsease.) I go to one of the socially rougher schools, which is quite diverse, but I do not see the main problems coming from the diversity.

  • @VTS1337 a safe haven?! britain is more violent than its ever been before. i live 200 miles from london & i'm well aware of how much the city i live in has changed, some of it for the better, a lot of it not!. the concept of immigration is a tricky one, it has caused social divide, religious tension, a strain on health care & education, enhanced gang culture etc thats all very well for the new arrivals but for the rest of us it has provided us with a hassleful existance & a fading identity

  • @trippy119 It has on many aspects:

We don't have Thatcher anymore, kids can have debit cards

In the 70s there were many nasty council estates dotted around the country, now these are being pulled down/regenerated. I myself celebrate England and its people for providing a safe haven for all. That is "true englishness". And if people want to feel nostalgic, and express themselves, they should not incude potentally hurtful and now uncouth language, irrelevent of its normalness some odd 25 years ago

  • @VTS1337 yes the racist comments are sad ,that aside, people are entitled to feel nostalgic about how england once was, as a child in the 70's i remember a far more saner country with nicer people, no shootings, stabbings, gang culture etc, mass immigration has failed & has destroyed the spirit of englishness via politically correct lunacy. nothing wrong with change but you cannot seriously tell people watching this video that england has changed for the better just because thats YOUR opinion?!

  • this is fantastic footage and well done but COULD U PLEASE REMOVE THE SUBTITLES as it distroys this footage
