For my first video, I will run my kaslo handbuilt (by me) HO scale cn sd60f. On behalf of youtube user IC6071, I teamed it up with Illinois Central sd40 #6067. The locos pulled a mixed freight train, and then met the Amtrak Lake Shore Limited.

  • nice scale speed..

  • thanks

  • Where did you get that???????????

  • Well, the SD60f is from kaslo models a.k.a. Kaslo shops distributing. But I didn't buy it directly off of the company's website. I found the model at a train show and bought it for $75, but it was only the shell of the loco and it was a kit. So, I used an Athearn bluebox SD40t-2 chassis but you have to do some cutting and filing to get it to fit. With all the building etc done, I then custom painted and decaled it. The kit is a very rare model.

  • That horn is amazing! I wish I had that loco! I am great friends with IC6071 (Adam). I love your Lake Shore Limited, too. That was sweet. I wish I had your Heritage baggage car...Anyways, nice vid!

  • I am wicked jealous of that Amtrak Horizon diner car in the Phase IV scheme! I've got two Amtrak Horizon's (1 coach, 1 diner) but they're both Phase III and look hideous when lashed up with my modern day Amtrak stuff!

  • An Athearn SD60 would have worked better. But it looks good none the less.

  • I don't know if they are. They are reproducing the Phase IV scheme ones. That I do know.

  • I hope they offer it in amtrak phase 5 paint!

  • Yea! I know that Walthers is coming back out with them.

  • The kato track was laid by a friend of my dad and some other parts by me, because we tried to make the layout building project faster by each of us having a certain job.
