In this movie, "winning" does not mean winning a motor racing. Means winning a human life. That's why I love this movie.

after that I exited the back gate to several cheers for Dodge (my 1 Ton flatbed, I left the tire but took with me something better, a lap around a track I will never have the chance to race on. R.I.P. Mesa Marin, so many memories there, a great track that breed the likes of Ron Hornanday JR. Kevin Harvick, Butch Gilliland, and numerous others.

i was at Mesa marin several years ago ( a half mile asphalt track east of Bakersfied Ca. now closed) after the race was over. I drove my truck to the back straight track entrance and was heading to the infield to retrieve a race tire for a momento, but as I started to cross the track the call was too great and i turned right, I paced through turns 3 and 4 and when I saw the coast was clear I nailed the throttle and went into turn one full blast and held er down through turn 2 andthe straightaway
