As atheists it's our duty to fight these types of people because many if not all of them are atheists. I don't like this idea any better than you but I can come to no other conclusion. I also wouldn't be surprised to find out that many of them are psychopaths in the literal sense of having no sense of right from wrong or no empathy for other people.
