@TheUndeadDrifter You think this is bad? Imagine the "str33t f1ght3rs" that watch a video for makiwara training and brutally break their knuckles from punching a solid piece of wood or stone or brick.

to harden fingers i tiger claw a tree and knife hand into a bucket of sand then punch a notebook or newspaper tied to a tree. paper protects from getting scraped from the bark

I posted the above comment while logged onto my neighbor's account by accident.

@JoeThaDreamer Sorry about the late reply. There are a lot of meridians in the hands and they travel throughout the body. For example, injuring one that leads to the eyes can lead to blindness. This video says nothing of dit da jiao (鐵打酒)which is an ointment that NEEDS to be applied to the hands before and after training to avoid injury. If you want to learn this then you have to find an instructor. Books and videos are no use.

Stupid idiot!!!!! This must not be practiced unless you have developed your wei chi through special secret meditation practices which are done standing and sitting.Otherwise you will fuck up your hands and your health

@TheUndeadDrifter Wow, i was recently considering starting this training, but I didn't realize that I could actually injure my hands or "meridians" as you said. While I look up what meridians are, is there any other sort of precautions that I should take when practicing this? And, if you were wondering I want to harden my hands for work related purposes.

Could you give me some tips, like how many times to do it one day, and how many times?
There's nothing wrong with this video at all. There's more than one way to skin a cat as they say.
