I 2nd the AVG anti-virus. Our IT guy at work turned me on to this after my Norton expired. We use it at work too. Works great, set the auto scans once and forget about it, even warns you if someone posts and has a virus.

You get a free one time use PC check with it. Even thought it says it's one time it still works.
