I heard this guy in LA last month, and it changed my life. Seriously, this is a deep cat when he plays. Very cool and approachable too. Had a nice chat after his first set, and took the time to answer my questions. Then he got up and killed the second set.

this is pretty good advice. i think this practise should also be done on other key signatures as well.

No offense to Mr. Shelby but I think a lot of this is marketing hype. From experience, any good or great player can sound however they want on any horn as long as they know what they are doing. The sound comes from the player moreso than the horn. Obviously, some instruments 'click' with players more than others, and that's fine...but to say that a certain brand is better than another. On that note though, George does know his stuff and that shows in this video.
