@Racingirl911 The closest would be the Sheriff. Both are elected to office. But in TX, a county may have several precincts. EACH precinct got their OWN Constable. They may exercise power over their precinct jurisdiction but they're also allowed to exercise power within the whole county if needed.
So each county may have several Constables as compared to other states where there's only one Sheriff in every county. Hope that helps you.

Looks like a serious redneck area this Precinct 4

I am not familiar with the term "Constable." In Ohio we have policeman, sheriff deputies and Ohio State Highway Patrol. Which of these 3 law enforcement officers in Ohio would be the same or closest to what you call a Constable?

I live in Illinois, so i was wondering what is a constable
As a resident of Montgomery County I can appreciate everything the Constable "Rowdy" is doing! I am proud to say that I voted for him and will do so again. When Rowdy was running for Constable he made a promise to clean up East Montgomery County, that is a promise he has made good. All of the criminals and drug pushers take this as gospel! If The "Real" Men in Black don't get you your lifestyle will!!
Keep up the Great work Rowdy and the Men in Black!!
