Seit nunmehr 100 Jahren wird der Arlberg touristisch genutzt und doch gibt es hier eine atemberaubende Orchideenflora, große Gruppen von Stein- und Rotwild und eine nahezu unübersehbare Anzahl von Murmeltieren. Im Winter sind weite Teile des Gebietes für Menschen unzugänglich und im Sommer gehören den Erholungssuchenden die Wanderwege, den Tieren aber der Rest der Landschaft.

The Arlberg is the quintessential winter idyll, and the cradle of alpine skiing. However, this famous skiing region that joins Tyrol and Vorarlberg is much, much more than just that. For the past 100 years, the Arlberg has been a tourist destination, and yet here you will find stunning orchids, large groups of ibex and red deer, and an almost incalculable number of marmots. In winter, large parts of the
region are inaccessible to visitors, and in summer the trails belong to the relaxation seekers, the rest of the landscape however, belongs to the animals.
