the closest thing you can come to mixing fps rpg is an open world fps game like farcry2 ,which has a map,characters to talk to,quests etc,but the combat is regular fps. trying to implement rpg elements in fps combat simply doesnt work,in fps games you get better by playing alot and having good aim,good reaction,not by leveling stats on character.thats why combat in fallout3 and elder scrolls suck,its very basic,on the level of wolfenstein 3d

Why is it you can survive almost any attack with a riot shield in mw? That's an fps and that doesn't make sense
