  • What was wrong with it and did you have any trouble getting it fixed? Thanks

  • @231MasseyFerguson

i will have to look at the invoice again. I only had one issue and that was my local delear would not fix it under warrenty and wanted to charge me for it so i took it somewhere else and got it fixed under the warrenty.

Works even better now than it did when it was new! LOL

  • The choppiness sounds like compression to me. I would think if something stalled it out bad enough to bend the crank you would of heard some type of noise... You should buy yourself a carb screw driver for it off ebay and adjust the carb.. its easy enough, to learn to do. Best of luck

  • 3 things to check!,Issues would be that Your fan hub came loose, and that is what holds the flywheel on as well, could possibly be binding up against the coil.usually it shears the key.second is that the carb needs to be adjusted, and last would be to take out that narrow looking gasket from under the muffler cap.I think it's 5 screws.

  • Great news man! Yes, when I buy another piece of Echo equipment, it'll be from a dealer and never Home Depot again. I purchased an Echo SRM-210 trimmer on 4/23/03. That was 8 years and 4 days ago, when I was 19, and that thing is STILL running as strong as the day I bought it! But I have kept it Well Maintained with new filters and stuff. I do have to order a new carburetor for it though ONLY because of my recent stupidity about a month ago. It has literally paid for itself several times.

  • Thanks,

i happened to come across the sales amnager of echo and told him about it.

he said there wont be a problem having it fixed. if they give me a hard time, he said to call him and i have his # so

if needed there wont be any problems!!!LOL

  • there is a recall on the carb on some of them. mine did the same stuff you said. had the dealer fix it with the recalled carb and now it works perfect! check the dealer and see if yours is recalled!

  • thanks, well what ever happens its got a warrenty

has not even been a year, non the less 5, so they should replace it. or else they are going to have shit plastered all over the internet!!!!LOL

but yes i will let you know, thanks!!!

    i learned somethin new today!!!
