June 29, 2010: the day Spanish fans turned Newark's Ironbound turned Red and Gold.
On this date, Portugal clashed with Spain in the 2010 FIFA World Cup for a coveted spot in the quarterfinals. Newark's Ironbound neighborhood, renowned for its Spanish, Portuguese, and Brazilian communities, came to life in anticipation. On Ferry Street, flags were everywhere. Vuvuzelas rang out. Fans chanted for their beloved home countries. All this before the game even began!
And then Spain won!
The celebrations that followed speak volumes about the people of Newark and its Ironbound neighborhood.

I wonder how the Italians reacted to all the Spanish celebration there in Ironbound, specially the wise guys :P
Nah but I'm joking, I'm proud of being Spanish, and some of the stuff I saw in this video I will never forget.
