These chocolate strawberries are made with white chocolate, then topped with coconut and mini chocolate chips.

This video recipe for white chocolate strawberries shows the process of making dipped strawberries. It works the same, whether you are making regular chocolate strawberries or white chocolate covered strawberries.

These chocolate strawberries make a great Valentines Day recipe, New Year's Eve recipe or special treat for anytime.

Here is how to make these white chocolate strawberries.

For this recipe, you'll need:

11 oz. white chocolate chips
1 quart of fresh strawberries
Toppings like shredded coconut and mini chocolate chips (that's optional, but they make the strawberries taste amazing)

Start by lining a cookie sheet with waxed paper.

Next place the white chocolate chips in a chocolate melter or a microwave safe container.

If you're heating them in the microwave, heat on 50% power for 30 seconds, then stir and repeat until the chocolate is completely melted.

If you're using a chocolate melter, just heat the chocolate on high until melted.

Now dry the strawberries with a paper towel. This is a good idea because it helps the chocolate adhere to the strawberries better if they're dry.

Pour the shredded coconut onto a plate and smooth into an even layer. Do the same with the mini chocolate chips.

Ok, set them aside.

Now it looks like our chocolate is melted and ready for dipping. Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate, letting the excess drip off (or use a spoon to help you catch some of the excess chocolate), then immediately press the strawberry into the coconut. Turn to get both sides, and place the strawberry on the lined cookie sheet.

For the chocolate chip covered strawberries, do the same thing. You may need to use your other hand to scoop some of the mini chocolate chips onto the strawberry to cover it well.

Now place the strawberries in the refrigerator to harden until you're ready to eat. And here are your white chocolate covered strawberries.
