@totallyfreeenergy There can not be space without particles, particles will always take up enough space as they need in order for the density of space to be constant. There is a major problem with a singularity, and that problem is infinity. There is no need for a singularity if a vacuum is not empty. I am even doubting a big bang, I think there might have been only inflation, not a big bang, you don't need it if the vacuum is not empty.

These particles take up a variable amount of space which is dependent on mass.

@nikolayzou talking about particles that exist in vacuum space ... Then there could be a space without particles and this space is the absolute and it is that kind of emptiness which cannot transmit even gravitational waves. It is only possible when there is singularity such as caused by what is referred to as black hole. Hope my inference in right !
