  • I was always told by the old gardeners to always leave the old blloms on hydrangeas until the spring, as these protect the developing flower buds from the worst of the snow and frost by insulating them.

    And then in the spring, to pruned back away from the flower where you see a nice big, fat, pair of buds.

    you need to buy a hydrangea, like an annabell, that is a white hydrangea, not a nikko that is blue (or pink if it does not have enuff aluminum)

  • how do you keep a white hydrangeas white instead of pink or blue?
