The Sentinel Tree is an example of an average Sequoia. This seven hundred ton giant is about half the size of the General Sherman Tree.In this Sequoia National Park , there are forty miles of trail to choose from in the Giant Forest.
The Giant Forest Museum is a renovation of the historic Giant Forest market building and completed to a museum and visitor center in summer 2001.It locates in Sequoia National Park at the east end of Highway 198 in Central California.

1999-2000 Remaining old lodging facilities removed; historic market converted to museum
2001 Giant Forest Museum opens to public.
