Pronunciation - make it work for you

Learning pronunciation can be very difficult. How do people get their brain to change habits and remember the new mouth position and air flow? This video goes over some methods that can make a lasting change to correct pronunciation (or close to it!). The methods do not take much time and allow you to integrate them into your daily life. They do call for consistency.

You may or may not "get better". There are immigrants who spent a life in the US, still speak with a strong native accent, and will die speaking with a strong native accent, such as (famously) Henry Kissinger, who otherwise speaks perfectly fluently and has a tremendous vocabulary.

This is a bug that youtube hasn't fixed and is happening to a lot of people all over youtube.

Try it in a different browser and it will probably work.

Clear the cache in the browser where you experienced that message and it will play again.

This has happened to me several times and I'm sure others have given up because of that message. The video IS available - youtube just needs to fix the bug.

The other day I was at a store and I asked for sandpaper but the lady helping me couldn't understand what I was saying. That's because I have a hard time pronouncing the ending consonants, so for her I was asking for SUN PAPER! She was probably thinking on an unknown radiation sensitive paper aisle....
