@MistaSly It doesn't matter what software you use, it only matters how you use it. I don't have Ableton nor FL Studio but today, most sequencer software will have similiar utilities but the individual utilities differ from each other. You should try Ableton Demo and see whether you feel like you want to use it or not. I for example dislike FL Studio since it's user interface is annoying as hell, but I love a software called Reaper. It isnt the software that determines your music quality, its U.

The one thing I don't understand is the compressor.
In my ableton I have two compressors, Compressor I and Compressor II, neither of them look like that compressor.
Why is my compressor different?

Are you sure you're using Ableton Live 7? The compressors changed between Live 6 and Live 7...
